2010 Cinematography Reel
This is the 2010 Nightowl Pictures selected cinematography compilation. Most of our work is available by request in its entirety, and much of it is available right here on the website. Many of the selected shots come right from our own short films. All of the selected elements presented here were either designed or...
Bulk Content
My style as a writer is to create massive amounts of content during the initial drafting stage. I rapidly write pages upon pages of script, anticipating a later edit. This allows for all ideas I come up with to make it onto the page, regardless of merit. This is what I refer to as ‘bulk content’. In order...
Scene Ending Stingers
Working on the steampunk script this weekend. While reviewing it I noticed there were too many stingers… or whatever you call those bits that go at the end of scenes that really underline the idea that “this is the end of the scene.” I didn’t do it on purpose, really, it just ended up that way. A First Post, About Sex

There was a sex scene in it, which was interesting from a screenwriting perspective. How detailed should these be in script form? My...
Don Dixon and the Jump Rabbits
Produced By: Elizabeth Malcolm Shot and Edited By: Nathan Bezner Produced by Elizabeth Malcolm, this footage was shot at Snug Harbor in 2009 for a music video for Don Dixon and the Jack Rabbits. This particular edit only uses the footage shot by Nathan Bezner and his camera. There were several other shooters on set,...
And so, it begins.
Well, everyone (who is no one at the moment, which means I’m writing to myself), the new version of the website is up. It’s not complete yet, but it’s about as complete as it’s going to get for the time being. I still need to get the Motion Graphics reel and the music videos compressed and online...
