The Birth of Nightowl Pictures

Nightowl Pictures is a small, independent film production company located primarily in Charlotte, NC. Founded in 1996 by Nathan Bezner, Nightowl Pictures is considered a fluid production studio, meaning that while its core members all work on film projects together, we all have day jobs to pay the bills.

While we primarily work on short film topics of our own choosing, we absolutely aspire to eventually creating a feature project. We’ve experienced small successes on the film festival circuit, though nothing to consider us anything more than a small, self-produced production studio.

When not conceiving short films and that eventual feature length project, we work our day jobs – anything from freelance video design work to gas station jockeying.
