Two scripts down. Don and I worked pretty hard on conceptualizing Sam’s short screenplay – getting into the characterization, tearing apart the themes and whittling down the dialogue to a more humanistic, less stage-y approach. Sam loved it. Hopefully she’ll now find money for the project so we can get started on it!

I’m still working on the shot list for “Devil’s Crossing,” the zombie/western feature I’m shooting from first-time director Ryan Gary. Don finished up touch-ups on that script a few weeks back so we have an actual finished shooting script. Paul Barrett is on-board to AD, Paul Streiner is producing, and Andy Boswell is on the make-up effects team – feels like old times!

As for myself and Nightowl Pictures’ main projects, I’m still putting together a package to get my motion graphics work up here. We need that as a reel. It should be fun, it’s just difficult to decide on a piece of music. Don is still working on getting the science right for “Nikol” so that I can read the whole thing rather than the first fifty pages. That should be a really fun project.

Also, I almost got a dog over the weekend. Not really film news, I just really want a puppy.
